Fall 2016

Posted by on October 29th, 2016 with Comments Off on Fall 2016

The Montana fall for 2016 was one of the most beautiful in recent years.  We got some moisture, didn’t get too hammered by the wind and had great fishing in all the right spots.  While the Yellowstone had a scare with a late August-mid/late September recreation closure, the consensus is that the fish populations are still robust.  See the photo!  At this time of year, the fishing madness turns to fishing calm.  The days are shorter, the flows are lower, there are far less anglers and its easy to blend in with the calm of the season.  It’s been nice and has been a great way to round out a great season.
