Dry Fly Experts at the Missouri River Proving Grounds
During the last three days I have had the great pleasure and luck to guide an expert fly fisherman. Now don’t get me wrong-I feel lucky to guide all levels of fisherman-but it is a guide’s treat to watch/guide an expert chase big fish with dry flies. So it was with Koji, a disciplined Japanese angler who has spent the last 17 years fishing for 10 days on our premier waters with top level guides. Koji has it down. 18 foot, 6X leaders with precision casting can make any ugly fly look good to the most picky fish. In three days my net was often wet and only one fish broke the line.
