A Need for Gore Tex

Everyday I pack my rain coat into a pack, boat or truck.  Yet, not everyday does a storm slam into us on the river.  However, our Montana summer afternoons often produce thundershowers that can simply be called ass-kickers.  Without a coat one can really take an ass-kicking.  Hell, even with a coat one can take a beating.  Always bring your coat, you will be happy when you have it.  The storm in this picture was a true ass-kicker and I was happy to have my coat handy and would have liked to have had a helmet as well.
