Big River Mo
The Missouri River is currently flowing at a massive 21,000+ cfs and do the fish care? Not too much. If a fisherman can find “ticky,” the depth where the flies, er worms, are scooting along the bottom then good things are likely to happen. Finding “ticky” is not entirely too easy and worm donations are frequent. The most successful anglers are able to soak the flies the longest (ie steady, long drift) and are not worried about setting the hook when the flies are seemingly under the oar. As the fishing has proven, the Missouri can weather even the highest runoff and still be productive. What a fortunate thing it is for us to have such a beautiful and productive river not too far away. Here are a few photos from the last two days fishing near Craig, MT.
Also congratulations to Matt and Andi on their beautiful Alta, Wyoming wedding!
