Getting it Good on the Yellowstone River
Here’s a shot of a fantastic day getting after the fish on the Yellowstone river this fall..
Fall 2016
The Montana fall for 2016 was one of the most beautiful in recent years. We got some moisture, didn’t get too hammered by the wind and had great fishing in all the right spots. While the Yellowstone had a scare with a late August-mid/late September recreation closure, the consensus is
Mid Summer 2016 in Yellowstone Country
Right now the summer season is fully in place here in Yellowstone country. The fishing has been steadily good with early morning starts. It’s all about the Yellowstone River in this area right now with the Boulder and Stillwater too low to float. Daily flies revolve around Morrish hoppers, and

2016 Making Plans
As the days get longer and the sun starts feeling a bit warmer, I begin to get that seasonal draw back to the water. While I’m making plans and coordinating the calendar I’m getting really excited and looking forward to a great season! Time to Fish..
Missouri River June 2015
For the last three weeks I have been monitoring the pulse of the Missouri River through daily guiding. The dry fly fishing and shallow sight nymphing have been really fun and producing freight train rainbows. PMD’s and caddis feed those fish as well as a jillion other bugs like little
Spring 2015
Lately, it’s been a time of watching the USGS river flows and getting some mid May bonus fishing on the Yellowstone and Boulder. When the glass is half full a dry year means earlier than usual fishing and the glass is definitely not half empty around here. Mother Nature is helping
