Free Day in the “Shoulder” Season
Today is the first day the snow has actually stuck to the ground here in the 2011 Livingston fall. The boats are put away and it looks kind of like the winter season is just a small breath of cold air away. These days are great and every once in a while I’ll try to do some head-math to see how many of these down days we have per year. I couldn’t prove my math on paper but I do know there aren’t many. So what to do? Lots! Like, get an oil change, organize a blown-up hopper box, sell some gear at the local ski swap, eat some chili, watch some football, tie some flies, go hunting for a few hours, could take a nap but then that would be losing some of the free-time time, or look at some pictures from the previous year. Pictures, oh yeah, brings a smile to one’s face and enthusiasm for more to come in the future. Coincidentally, a good friend of mine is doing slide show about fishing in Yellowstone National Park and wondered if I had anything that could work for his show. Well, sure! Here are few photos from some memorable times fishing in the best wade access water (YNP) in the United States. I love cutty’s!
