During the last week the Sacramento crew (including one from Mass.) got a taste of the Missouri River. Long leaders, heavy weights, worms, sow bugs, candy colored thing-a-ma-bobbers and good timing were able to produce fish in challenging conditions. As with the rest of the western U.S. the Missouri River is experiencing runoff and yet due to a series of dams the river below Holter Dam is the best trout game in town, period. Despite the conditions anglers that work hard to get a good drift at the right depth (a ticking worm) will be rewarded. Here are a few photos from four fun days. Good times…
