Giving Thanks
River Fly Outfitters would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving this week. Here are a few tips for getting those extra helpings inside the mouth and down the drain:
1. Don’t go so fast that your dinner is over in 5 minutes! This is a hard one and if you do go too fast don’t worry because tip #2 is for you.
2. After gorging-get up from the table and walk around (discreetly-no moaning) and possibly find a place to lay down. Laying down may extend the length of one’s digestive tract so as to make more room? Wait at least 3 minutes then begin to scope out the stuffing, mash potatoes, and turkey.
3. Begin eating as soon as you wake up so as to numb all nerves coming from your digestive tract.
4. Drink only light beer (of course, anyway right?)
5. Give your mom a big hug and appreciate all the food she has fixed for you throughout the years (being a new dad really makes this one apparent now)
6. Come on, get off the couch and help wash some dishes! Plus that extra dish washing exercise will create just enough space so that you might be able to eat TWO pieces of pumpkin pie.
