I am not an Invasive Species!

Recently my boat was surveyed by the Montana Fish Wildlife & Parks for evidence of aquatic invasive species. No I didn’t have to produce a birth certificate or passport and the boat passed inspection. The MT FWP is working hard to protect our rivers from such invaders as New Zealand Mud Snails that can have negative impacts on fisheries. Their recommendation for cleaning gear? Use vinegar! Apparently a quick exposure to vinegar kills these invaders. Hopefully these resources stay as they are for the children of our children and even longer…
