Right now things are pretty quiet around here in Livingston, Montana.  The days are short, the wood pile is starting to show a few dents, and our bodies are just starting to get the clue that warm days are over for a while.  During the entire year we really only have a few weeks where not much is happening and that is when we try to squeeze in a few rare yearly events.  Like going to get a Christmas tree in the Gallatin National Forest!  A few days ago Amy, Nadine and I and our friends Wendy, Charlie and Griffin went on a-to quote Charlie-“Christmas Tree Safari.”  We came home with some really nice trees (think along the lines of Charlie Brown’s tree) and so far the dogs haven’t either peed on it or knocked it over.  Yes, life is really good…
