Madison River’s $3 Dollar Bridge

When I first started guiding the Madison River steadily in the mid 90’s I tried to learn as much as I could from one of the rivers crustiest guides. I could write on and on about my sinse (sp? Sinsay). Anyway I will always remember his advice to my rookie “where are the best spots?” question. He said “there’s a fish behind every rock in that river.”. Well, there are tons of rocks in the Madison so… Confidence boosted! A special place to me is the $3 dollar bridge over the Madison. There are lots of fish behind lots of rocks in this area. Here is a photo of the old “strong box” at $3Dollar Bridge.
