Missouri River June 2015

For the last three weeks I have been monitoring the pulse of the Missouri River through daily guiding. The dry fly fishing and shallow sight nymphing have been really fun and producing freight train rainbows. PMD’s and caddis feed those fish as well as a jillion other bugs like little yellow sallies, midges, scuds, sow bugs, and crawfish. June on the Missouri River is as good as trout fishing can get and I look forward to next year already. Now it’s time for the Yellowstone, Boulder and Stillwater and to beat this year’s heat. Heat talk to be continued… Here’s a few photos from the Missouri River from the last few weeks.
