New Boat and a Yellowstone River Brown Trout Introduction

I got a new boat.  I am happy to be rid of a sub par drift boat that will not be missed.  It isn’t that the old boat rowed badly or that it wasn’t comfortable, it’s that it was falling apart after 1 season.  The boat in question is made by a company whose name rhymes with ride and starts with an H.  I replaced the boat with a Ro Deville that seems very sturdy and built by reputable folks locally here in Montana.  So with a day off and a hint of green in the Yellowstone River the family took the new Deville for a test ride.  It was great and I can’t wait to put it on all the rivers in the Riverfly repertoire (Yellowstone, Madison, Missouri, some private lakes) and get some fish slime all over it.  Here is my 20 month old’s first introduction to a Yellowstone River Brown Trout.  Something tells me she might not be into it…

She Might Not Like Fishing Yet

Maybe 20 Months is a Little Early to Start Flyfishing

Yeah, it seems that we're going to have to give her some time.
