The report from the rest of the state is pure envy for the Yellowstone River.  This may not always be the case but our Yellowstone River is Montana’s shining star at the moment.  From the river’s exit at Yellowstone National Park to Columbus, MT the river is fishing well.  That’s a span of at least 120 miles!  Today I floated with two great guys from the Boulder River into the Yellowstone River.  We caught lots of fish on nymphs and a few on some big foam dries (aka the Chubby).  Take a look at this gem of Yellowstone River brown that ate a king prince below a Chubby.  This fish was taped at 23″!  Not to shabby indeed…
