9th Street Boat Ramp or Bike Ramp

It’s October 23rd and this afternoon (amongst other things) I rode my bike two blocks to the Yellowstone River, fished (caught a few), and later on carved a pumpkin with my soon to be two year old.  What a day!  The fishing on the Yellowstone has been good on cloudy days with fish eating baetis aka parachute adams or purple haze.  This year the Yellowstone River altered its course through town so that now there is a great wade fishing section just blocks away from my home.  I have been taking advantage of this “new” water level and have been putting my waders on in my garage and getting on my bike and fishing in minutes.  Urban fishing could not get much better.  Here are a few photos of the biking to fish routine…
